Sally Reid - Bio
Having spent most of my working life in many different roles within the financial sector both here and in the UK, I have now foundmy niche. My aim is to educate and to help people understand: • What cover they have got and why they chose to take it. • What they haven’t got and their decision process behind that. • What their contingency plan is, if an event they chose not to cover arises. I am passionate about protecting people and what is important to them and as everyone has a different story, I love working with them to find the best solutions for their journey. I have completed a Bachelor of Business Studies and Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (majoring in financial planning). Spending time with my family & friends and walking long distances with my dog are some of my favourite pastimes and I usually complete several ½ marathons a year I love to travel, meet people & experience life and both my role with Mainland and my personal life are geared towards that.

Melissa Still - Bio
I have been the Practice Manager at Mainland for the past 12 years. During this time I have managed the life and trauma claims for many of our clients who have been faced with some of life’s challenges and darker days. This has solidified my belief and trust in the insurance products that we promote and the advice that my colleagues give to their clients. In 2019 I gained the NZ Certificate in Financial Services Life & Health.
KiwiSaver was first launched when I began my career in Financial Services. Over the past 12 years I have watched not only mine, but thousands of individuals accumulate vast amounts of funds that will provide for happier and healthier retirements. I love my job, especially knowing that we help to make a difference in peoples times of loss, illness and improved financial futures. When not at work, I am often found at the gym, polytech – furthering my business studies, walking or raising a glass with friends and family.

I started in fire & general insurance and from there I have also been involved in the life insurance sector and more recently providing support with residential lending. I have gained my NZ Certificate in Financial Services Residential Lending. If you receive a call from the Mainland Insurance office regarding a review of your policies the chances are the bubbly blonde on the end of the phone will be me! I really enjoy helping and talking to people, both clients and fellow work colleagues.
When I’m not at work I spend most of my time with my horses that have been my passion since I was 2 years old. During summer weekends you will find me and my four-legged friend at horse events around South Canterbury show jumping with a huge smile on both our faces!
