I have been an Adviser with Mainland since May 2001. Prior to this, I have worked in the Real Estate, Construction and Rural Sectors. I have studied and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies majoring in financial planning. I am a Financial Adviser and Shareholder of Mainland.

In my spare time I enjoy golf and camping and a lot of my time is spent following my three boys around their various activities.

I have been the Practice Manager at Mainland since 2007, became a shareholder in 2010 and Director in 2019 and Director of Wealthpoint in 2022. I then decided to join the Adviser force in late 2020. The leading driver would be by my exposure to the life and trauma claims of many of Mainland’s clients who have been faced with some of life’s crises and darker days. This helped cement my belief in that people who access educated and personalised advice, matched with “fit for purpose” insurance products, fair financially better in any traumatic situation.

Im passionate about my job and love knowing that I may help make a difference in people’s lives during times of loss, illness and financial hardship. Outside of work, you will find me at the gym, trying out new sports and clubs, and spending time with friends and family.

Kylie Connor

I joined Mainland early in 2017 after spending several years as a senior personal banker for Westpac. I specialise in all things lending and always focus on always putting my clients first. This includes providing home loan advice for first home buyers, those looking to build a home, or those hoping to grow their investment property portfolio. I also have experience dealing with rural lending and helping commercial clients with new lending or managing their existing debt.

Along with finance, I have a passion for risk insurance and help my clients protect what is most important to them. I provide guidance and recommendations for life, health and mortgage/income protection insurances as well as general insurance. I have completed the level five certificate in financial services with accreditation across lending, general, life and health insurances and I combine this study with over eight years’ experience in the industry.

When I’m not at work, you likely will find me spending time with my husband and our three kids while enjoying social events with friends. I also love all things sport and enjoy a game of tennis or netball or watching the mighty Highlanders play and (sometimes) win.

I have recently joined Mainland as an Adviser in early 2023. The 9 years prior to joining Mainland I spent at ANZ assisting clients achieve their personal and business goals and ensure they are protected along the way.

I have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring in Economics and recently have completed my Level 5 Financial Adviser Certification. I joined Mainland as an Investment and General Insurance Adviser.

Outside of work I have a young family which keeps me very busy. I enjoy the outdoors, fishing and hunting, as well as socialising with friends.

Having spent most of my working life in many different roles within the financial sector both here and in the UK, I have now found my niche. My aim is to educate and to help people understand:

• What cover they have got and why they chose to take it.
• What they haven’t got and their decision process behind that.
• What their contingency plan is, if an event they chose not to cover arises.

I am passionate about protecting people and what is important to them and as everyone has a different story, I love working with them to find the best solutions for their journey. I have completed a Bachelor of Business Studies and Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (majoring in financial planning). Spending time with my family & friends and walking long distances with my dog are some of my favourite pastimes and I usually complete several ½ marathons a year I love to travel, meet people & experience life and both my role with Mainland and my personal life are geared towards that.

I joined Mainland as a Mortgage Advisor at the beginning of 2022 after moving down to Timaru to be closer to family and to enjoy everything South Canterbury has to offer.

Prior to Mainland I was an independent Mortgage Advisor in Christchurch and I have over 23 years experience in the finance industry. My passion is helping people into their dream home and I provide advice to first home buyers, those wishing to build, business lending and everything in between.

I am available 7 days a week and aim to be as flexible as possible to make it more convenient for my clients.

When I’m not at work you will find me enjoying the company of my family and friends,  walking the dog, watching the warriors ( this year will be their year…) and spending time in the sun with a good book.

When I’m not at work helping lending clients, I’m running around after my two small children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing netball and getting to the gym.

I have been working in the Insurance Industry the majority of my working life and joined Mainland in 2015.

Fire & General Insurance has been my main focus,  however I have assisted in the Life Insurance and Mortgage sectors providing support to these two areas during my time here.   Currently I am the Fire & General support person where I confidently offer knowledge, assistance and helpful service to both clients and fellow colleagues.   I have also gained my NZ Certificate in Financial Services, Residential Lending and also General Insurance.

When I’m not at work I juggle my time between farming chores, my children and my many horses.

Michelle Bradley

I joined the Mainland family in mid 2022 as their new Receptionist/Administrator.

My background mainly has been in the Real Estate sector – Property Management and Personal Assistant.

However, along with 15 years of administrative and customer service experience, I am very happy being the friendly face and voice that new or continued clients come through to, while supporting and assisting the team and the functioning of the reception area.

Outside of the office you will find me surrounded by family, a new grand baby and friends. Spending time pottering around home, renovations or simply just relaxing.

Timaru Office Manager

I joined the Mainland team in March 2023 after many years in the motor sport industry.  My family and I moved to South Canterbury in 2020 and have embraced the relaxed way of living and work/life balance that the region offers.

I am excited to be Mainland’s Timaru Office Manager and have embraced getting to know the team, our suppliers and clients alike.

In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends, looking after our chickens and riding my horse.

Ashburton Office Manager

I began working for Mainland in February 2023, following their acquisition of the Financial Adviser business I had been working in for almost 20 years.

Joining the team was an easy fit and I am very happy to be able to assist the Advisers in the newly branded Ashburton office by providing administrative support.

Continuing the relationship with existing clients and getting to know new clients is key for me and I pride myself on the service I provide and being able to make processes as simple as possible for them.

When not working I enjoy photography, going to concerts and am known for making the world’s longest cup of tea….
